The Story Behind Custom Orders

I love custom orders! I enjoy the journey from the first inkling of an idea to the final product. The process can sometimes be long with many changes, and other times short and to the point. Whatever your process, I would love to create with you. Here are a few samples of what I have done in the past.

A fellow traveler photographed the octopus from the wall of a restaurant in Italy. Using his preferences I created some drawings. The necklace is my interpretation of the octopus with a gemstone.

A customer purchased the enameled necklace from me at an art fair. She contacted me later and wanted a bracelet to match. I gave her choices of stones and design. Those led to the bracelet in the photo.

The photo of the lace is from my daughter's wedding gown. I created the stud earrings from sterling silver, yellow gold foil, and gold studs. The jacket is the image of the flower in the lace and the gemstones are sapphires, her birthstone.

I also created 14k gold bracelets for her bridesmaids.

I created a bracelet as a gift for a new mom. The customer chose the chain, the size of the gold disk, the tanzanite beads and the clasp. Baby's initial on the front and birthdate on the back all in 14k gold.

A friend wanted me to create a cuff with onyx cabochons she had on jewelry she never wore. She wanted me to texture the sterling, make it wide, but the rest was up to me. This is the result.

She returned with the request for a necklace and then later for earrings. She wanted to wear them together. I received some photos of stones from my vendors which I sent to her and she chose the stones. I textured the silver and here are the results. Happy customer!

A customer that had bought from me previously messaged me about a cabochon she had purchased. She wanted a very simple, light-weight pendant. The original drawing had prongs but we decided for a sleeker look, to use just the fine silver bezel. I added a bail so she could use her own chains.
